Toxins.
Meet your match.

All living things are made of, and run by, DNA. Its the code, or directions, which tell an organism how to grow, develop and interact with the world.

By using the latest DNA sequencing technologies, we can read this code to look for new microbes with the right enzymes that can help us clean up the planet.

  • Enzymes are proteins found in nature. You use enzymes to digest your food and perform a host of other reactions that allow you grow and survive. In nature, bacteria, plants, algae and fungi have specialized enzymes that transform what we consider toxins and waste--petroleum, carcinogenic dyes, heavy metals, arsenic and plastic, to name a few--into carbon. This carbon gives these organisms life and helps power the complex interactions which drive healthy ecosystems.

  • Our technologies do not use harsh chemicals and minimally disturb the natural environment in which they are applied. In addition, our enzymes degrade and/or sequester target toxins. Traditional methods, like soil removal or capping, do not solve the problem, they just remove it from sight.

How is BluumBio different? We don't just remove contaminants from the environment: we restore degraded landscapes.

  • Our portfolio includes petroleum hydrocarbons, PCBs, PFAS, fluoride, 1, 4-dioxane, heavy metals, nitrates and microplastics. Our portfolio is always expanding; if you have a chemical you need to get rid of, get in touch and we can develop a solution for you.
